Welcome Back to School!

A very cheery welcome back to school to all returning students, and of course our new arrivals, and also a warm greeting to all parents.  This year will be a very exciting year for our students,  filled with wonderful learning activities. The administration and teachers have

been working very hard this summer to prepare a fantastic 2010/2011 school year for our girls.  We look forward to making your

 school year an awesome experience!

School Supply List

Student supply lists will be posted on the school website the first day of school for your convenience.  Please make sure that you get the supplies that are on that list as soon as possible, so that students come to class prepared.

Please check your child's backpack and channel book daily

LABEL YOUR CHILD’S PERSONAL ITEMS

It is always a good idea to take a permanent marker and write your child’s name on the inside of all uniforms and personal items. Uniforms personal items, and especially coats tend to get mixed-up or lost throughout the school year, so to avoid any confusion it is better to label these items.

Food for Thought!

Start your child’s day with a good healthy breakfast.  If a child starts his or her day with a healthy breakfast they will have the right amount of energy to stay focused and face the academic challenges of their day.  Scientifically it is proven that soda, chips, and candy do not provide the vitamins and nutrients needed to constitute a healthy breakfast.

APPOINTMENTS

Parents often become frustrated when they come to school and want to speak with an administrator or teacher and find that the person they wish to speak to is unavailable.  This can simply be avoided by making an appointment two days in advance.  It is not possible to take a teacher out of class in the middle of teaching a lesson to speak to parents.  It is also not possible for an administrator to get up and leave in the middle of important meetings.  You and your child/children are important and your time is also important, therefore it is a good idea to schedule appointments with the person you wish to see and this way you will not waste your valuable time.

School website

Please check the school website daily. Important information and updates are always posted for your convenience.

Hand Washing /Sanitizer

Reminding our children to use sanitizer especially after using the bathroom and sneezing or coughing is an import why to help our children avoid becoming ill during the school year .
